We have had multiple students access the 10-week behaviour for learning programme at ICE. Students have been referred on the verge of PEX (Permanent Exclusion), throughout the programme students have engaged well and spoke highly of the relationships developed with the staff. At the end of the 10 weeks ICE hold transition meetings to support reintegration, our students have transitioned back into mainstream school and are demonstrating a marked improvement in behaviour, attitude, decision making and ability to develop relationships with staff. The ICE team have been supportive of our students and us as a school throughout the process. I just wanted to share how proud I am of *****. His focus and behaviour in lessons has massively improved since his placement with you at ICE and he is showing that he really wants to do better. Students have been completing a paired task and I cannot believe ***** has been discussing a mathematical concept with a peer. ***** has worked extremely hard in all his lessons especially English, and he left school today feeling very proud of the efforts he has put in and the positive feedback he has received from staff. The team at I.C.E. do a great job of communicating with school and provide detailed updates on a weekly basis. They are friendly and approachable and work with us as a school, parents and our young people to make positive change. They have been very flexible based on our requests, and we look forward to a long association with I.C.E. - Deputy Haedteacher.
